SPORTS LAW

Sports law is a vague term that encompasses over a dozen areas of law. At Kanter Legal, we focus our sports law practice on contract negotiation. There are a number of athletes who don't want to pay a large percentage of their endorsement deals to an agent, but need an experienced attorney to review a potential contract or negotiate on their behalf. There are on-field agents who choose not to work on endorsements, which leaves athletes in need of a marketing agent. We aim to bridge these gaps in available representation.

We are not an agency for athletes. We are a law firm that works with sports agencies, athletes, coaches, financial advisors, and business managers to draft, review, and negotiate endorsement deals, speaking engagements, appearances, and other sports related contracts.

BUSINESS LAW

The focus for small business owners is usually on generating revenue and limiting expenses. We help businesses comply with state and federal laws, leaving them time to focus on what matters most. Our goal is to provide affordable counsel to small businesses and entrepeneurs so they don't push major legal decisions off to when they "make it" because by then it is often too late.

Our business law services include, but are not limited to, business entity selection, filing business formation documents, business plan review, ongoing business administration, and by-law drafting.
